Everyone can talk all they want about preferred placement in Google results, or AOL buying adwords with profits made from adsense… but over 2 months ago I predicted that Google would buy AOL and the recent developments have made me at least 5% correct. Don’t forget AOL also owns advertising.com.
The real reason Google needs the sneaky AOL is that AOL has those all the IM accounts. AIM will soon have voice to voice connectivity to GoogleTalk, probably using their newest release, libjingle.
